There is a very real distraction that the enemy is trying to bring right now and it is not a new strategy but one of his age old schemes. He is trying to bring wars and rumors of war to the doorstep of nations to preoccupy us, not with the Heavenly Kingdom, but with earthly ones.

Our adversary is attempting to create a dilemma amongst the spiritual authorities in America with diverse directions and spiritual perspectives. The prophetic voices in the western world are not setting a new standard in this hour as God's covenant people are called to do. Instead prophet voices, for the most part, are themselves distracted and trying to influence the natural dynamics based on information and news reports, instead of getting true counsel in the courts of Heaven.

Just like in Biblical times, deceiving spiritual influences are attempting to find known prophetic voices to falsely prophesy a distracting agenda without claiming accountability for specific revelations. These directive words have been released and have actually perpetuated fear and torment in the nation, instead of raising the water level of faith. The Bible admonishes us to judge long term fruit. There have been very real warnings and revelations from God that have been overshadowed by other prophetic voices that have been speaking boldly.

God is speaking, but it takes trained discernment to hear His whisper amongst the segregation of perspectives and opinions packaged as 'words from the Lord' coming from every direction. Christian television, radio, and itinerate ministries are all trying to have the 'word for the hour' on the crises in America and the world. The desire is not wrong but when we are so hungry for revelation that we don't wait for Heaven to engage us, we could discern 'spiritual' truth but it may not be inspired heavenly truth.

Our enemy is trying to give outlet to directional revelations for the season we are in, but there has been too many of these 'revelations that just don't have the counsel of God in them.

I heard a loud cry in the nations,--"Where is the Lord God of Elijah!"

This is the cry of the nations that I saw in a prophetic experience: Where is the voice of one who stands in their Ephesians 2 mandated place--- 'Seated in a Heavenly Place' and bringing counsel from Heaven to change the atmosphere upon the Earth? Where are the "Elijahs'" among us?

In Elijah's day there were many prophets of God, but instead of walking the cutting edge of a narrow road of faith, they fell prey to fear, politics, and the jezebel spirit that governed the day. Elijah truly was seemingly alone because none of the other prophets were boldly speaking the true word of the Lord that brought the Kingdom of Heaven to contend with the natural kingdoms on the earth.

God is about to release the Spirit of Elijah upon the earth and there will be a clear mark upon those prophets that just speak words of revelation inspired by what is seen opposed to those who speak with the authority of Heaven. The Heavenly message contends through signs and wonders and the authority of Christ against the spiritual kingdoms of the earth.

Discerning Prophetic Fruit

Right now it is incredibly hard to discern the fruit of prophetic ministers for many reasons. Mainly, because there is no requirement of accountability for words that do not come to pass that are spoken through prophetic voices. It is not sin to be inaccurate; it is sin to not take responsibility for the inaccuracy and the enemy is waiting for any foothold of this type of sin so that he can begin to influence even those we consider anointed.

There is about to be a great rift in the prophetic culture because so many who claim to hold governmental weight in the Spirit will have a form of understanding and counsel but it will not have the fruit of the supernatural Kingdom of God in it. It may have spirituality in it, but it is more information than revelation that even demons have access too in the mid heavens. It is not our intent to be harsh or critical but to sound a trumpet call to carry prophetic ministry to a much higher level. A door of opportunity stands open before us for incredible advancement if we will take it.

Isaiah 29: 14 "Therefore once more I will asound these people with wonder upon wonder, the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intellegent will vanish.'

I am so excited about this word because the Spirit of Elijah is going to come upon the Earth. Generations have been waiting for what we are about to witness and testify of.

The Lord is Setting Apart People

It will come to vessels that will walk the narrow road. I saw the Lord picking the people out much like Samuel was sent to identify David. The Lord chose the least of the brothers in David's family to be King. The anointing is about to come to the least likely, in human eyes, because the Lord does not look at outward appearance of ministries that seemingly are beautiful and have great influence. He looks at the heart of the ministry to see if it can carry His anointing.

Many self proclaimed prophets had great influence in the day of Paul the apostle, but the Lord was the one who anointed Paul with the favor of Heaven. It is not about influence, numbers, large structures, self appointment, or prophetic promises; it is about the fruit of heaven being active and apparent and the Lord Jesus getting the glory.

God is so full of burning desire to bring the Age of His Kingdom Dominion upon the Earth. I believe this is a season where many who have been tried in the fire of affliction are about to come forth and declare this awesome passage:

Isaiah 48:6 "From now on I will tell you new things, of hidden things unknown to you. They are created now, and not long ago, you have not heard of them before today so you cannot say, "Yes I knew of them."

God is going to speak forth with His creative word!

A generation of prophetic people is being birthed who walk, not influenced by the kingdoms and politics of the day, but bring about fruit of Heaven to shake everything that can be shaken so that the true Kingdom will be born.

The Prince is Trying to Steal the Focus from the King

I received a revelatory picture during a recent conference session. In it I saw a little man with a large crown who was the prince of Persia. He was a self proclaimed 'prince.' In this picture there was a war in the land and because of fear, even the guards of the treasury of God were sent by watchmen of the wall into battle instead of being faithful in their appointed station. I saw this 'prince' of Persia was using the distraction of the war to steal from the treasury, using this ideal situation as an opportune time.

We as the believing community need to learn from what we have just walked through in this war. I believe because the prophets and intercessors have the church so attentive on the smaller focus, the war, the greater focus of advancing the Kingdom is being put in a secondary place. We are not to disregard the need for prayer involving our military personnel or national security. However, these issues can be a stumbling block to our greatest and most important mandate of birthing Heavenly purposes in this hour.

The destiny of Jesus is at stake, and many are getting consumed with praying into the war as a preoccupation which robs Christians of their authority. Everything must come secondary to our true pursuit of Heaven. We are aliens to this world, and if God gives us an agenda of being a part of an answer in the midst of human dynamics it will become clear. However, it will be brought into perfect clarity and in proper heavenly order.

The little prince of Persia has been trying to steal the focus of the King by pushing the church to respond to elements of the war that we are to have no part of or out of it assigned timing. He is pushing our focus past God's desire. He was a little prince with a large crown, but the crown was given by the fear of man.

Because of human zeal many Christians have been at the forefront of heralding a political cry 'Lets go to war!' not fully prepared for the ramifications. Through this human ambition, the many churches in the Middle East have been set back up to a decade. Christians in the persecuted church went from slowly coming out to a bold profession of faith, to going completely back underground. Many Christians were beaten and churches have even more persecution then even before the wartime.

This is true primarily because of their perception of a Christian nation coming against a Muslim nation. Sometimes this is part of the cost of following God's command, but I believe it went too far. We have heard more prophecies about the takeover of Iraq than about God's covenant people in the Middle East, including Israel. We have lost our focus and now we are close to the end of one war, but a new one is starting.

When the Lord sends us to war, His Zeal accomplishes the fullness of the purpose He desires. Conversely, when man goes to war in human zeal, there is great confusion and prolonged suffering. We love our President and the noble cause of removing tyranny. However, there is an appropriate timing. Sometimes good things can be a distraction to God's best and highest purpose.

Strategy of the Prince of Persia

What we are facing is part of an age old war in the Middle East, and there are ruling powers there that are trying to gain a foothold of influence in the world right now hoping to destroy God's covenant people. The "princes" of the Middle East are hungry for attention and they are being strategic in their provoking of the western world. Just like in Biblical days, the prince of Persia is responsible again for trying to destroy the focus of God's covenant people and to delay the true Kingdom from advancing.

This prince of Persia has five strategies right now specifically designed against the church in the Western World:

1) To Distract Our Focus

2) To Postpone the Kingdoms advancement

3) To cause fear of destruction through terrorism and war

4) To steal from the provision and push us into recession

5) To bring accusation against the nature of God

It is a season of 12:12

If we set our hearts like Daniel did in Daniel 12:12 then the response from Heaven will be delayed no longer.

Daniel 12:12: "Do not be afraid Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them."

We must humble ourselves and set our minds to embrace only the understanding that comes through the Spirit of God, not human wisdom which is based in speculation or recycled spiritual understanding.

This great man who spoke to Daniel was resisted 21 days, but then Michael was sent on his behalf. We need to appeal to God to send the Host of Heaven, including Michael, in this hour, to contend for the will of God!

I believe that God is going to answer the nations cry and send forth His Spirit--- the Spirit that Elijah had, but it will cost the western world church a true war that will be performed by the Zeal of God. It will be a war between those who will walk in the Word and the Spirit, and those who will walk in their own purpose. A true inspired war is about to break out and the outcome will be decided upon by human wisdom packaged in prophetic words, but by the power of the Spirit of Elijah!
